Biographical Information (1. Full-curriculum, plataforma lattes, Portuguese)

     Sinésio Pesco is Associate Professor of the Department of Mathematics at PUC-Rio. He received his PhD degree in Applied Mathematics at Pontificial Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) in 1997.  His main research interests are in Geometric Modeling, Computational Topology, Scientific Visualization and Petroleum reservoir modeling.
      In 2003 and 2004, he worked with Claudio Silva in Post-Doc. First at Computer Science and Engineering at the OGI School of Science and Engineering, Oregon Health & Science University. In the summer (July/September 2003), he worked at scientific visualization group at  Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory with Valerio Pascucci (California) and in 2004 in SCI Institute - University of Utah.
