Torus homeomorphisms whose rotation set is a line segment

RESUMO: In this talk, we will explain some basic problems in rotation theory of two torus homeomorphisms. We will stress the situation when the rotation set of the homeomorphisms is a line segment. In particular, we want to understand the set of points which realize two extremal points of the rotation set, as well as the those points which does not have a well-defined rotation set. We focus on the interplay between topology and the ergodic theory in these settings.
