Título: Asymptotic behavior of minimizing solutions for an elliptic problem in the ball

Resumo: The aim of this talk is to study the asymptotic behavior of the solutions to $-\Delta u = \lambda f(u)$ in the unit ball as $\lambda$ approaches $\lambda^*$. We will provide an alternative proof to the one given by Joseph and Lundgren, and we will show the connection with the behavior of the slow decay solution in $\mathbb{R}^N$.
