Order and Chaos.

RESUMO: A major drive for the modern mathematical theory of Dynamical Systems was the realization, in the 1970’s, of how “chaotic” many dynamical systems are. In this talk I will introduce the notion of chaos, give some elementary examples and discuss how chaotic systems can be given some order using ideas from probability theory.
